This Privacy Policy explains how Tangible Day (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit TangibleDay.com, contact us, comment, subscribe, or make a purchase. At Tangible Day, careful attention matters at the hobby desk and in how reader data is handled; we aim to use only the services needed to operate, understand, and support the site.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may receive information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, message, comment, order details, billing information, and subscription choices.
We and our service providers may also receive technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device information, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, advertising or consent choices, and interactions with site features. The precise information collected depends on the service used and your consent choices.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate and secure the site; provide requested content and services; process purchases; respond to messages and comments; maintain subscriptions; prevent spam and fraud; measure site performance; improve tutorials, reviews, and other content; comply with legal obligations; and display advertising where permitted.
We do not sell personal information directly for money. Advertising partners may process or share certain identifiers for interest-based advertising as described in the Mediavine section below and according to your available privacy choices.
Cookies, Consent, and Privacy Choices
The site uses necessary technologies for functions such as security, login status, comments, shopping carts, checkout, and remembering privacy preferences. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are subject to the consent controls available in your region.
Mediavine’s Consent Management Platform manages consent for Mediavine display and video advertising and communicates supported consent choices to Google Analytics through Google Consent Mode. Where shown, you may accept, reject, or manage individual choices. You can revisit available choices through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” or “Manage Preferences” link in the site footer. Browser settings may also be used to delete or block cookies, although doing so can affect site features.
Google Analytics and Site Measurement
We use Google Analytics 4, currently connected through Site Kit by Google, to understand aggregate traffic and how readers use the site. Google Analytics may process device, browser, page, referral, interaction, approximate-location, and consent information. Google Consent Mode is enabled through Mediavine so Analytics behavior can respond to consent choices. Google may use modeled or limited measurements when consent is denied, subject to Google’s implementation and applicable settings.
Jetpack Stats and related WordPress.com services may also process page-view, referrer, browser, device, and IP-related information to provide site statistics, security, performance, and administrative features.
Grow and Reader Features
We use Grow by Mediavine for reader features such as saving, sharing, personalization, and subscription tools when those features are available. Grow may process account, email, device, interaction, and consent information when you choose to use its services. Grow is designed to respond to supported consent signals from Mediavine’s Consent Management Platform.
Email Subscriptions and Existing Mailchimp Records
Tangible Day currently uses Grow for active reader-subscription features. The former sitewide Mailchimp tracking script and Mailchimp footer signup form have been removed, and the Mailchimp for WordPress plugin has been deactivated.
If you subscribed through a former Mailchimp form, Mailchimp may continue to store your email address and related subscription record until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the record is otherwise removed under our retention practices. Removing the former site integration did not delete existing Mailchimp subscribers.
Comments, Contact Forms, and Spam Protection
When you submit a comment or contact form, we may receive the information entered in the form along with technical information used for delivery, moderation, security, and spam prevention. WordPress.com, Jetpack, and Akismet may process this information to provide those services. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through public comments.
Digital Store and Purchases
Our digital store uses Easy Digital Downloads and related functional services. When you make a purchase, we may process your name, email address, billing details, order history, download access, tax-related information, and transaction identifiers. Payment providers may separately process payment information under their own privacy policies. Necessary cart, checkout, security, and order technologies may operate without optional advertising consent because they are needed to provide a requested transaction.
Affiliate Links and External Websites
Some links are affiliate links. If you click one, the destination merchant or affiliate network may receive referral information and may set cookies or use other tracking technologies on its own website. Tangible Day may earn a commission from a qualifying purchase without increasing your price. Those third parties control their own sites and privacy practices, so please review their policies and choices.
Links or privacy-safe placeholders for services such as YouTube do not load the third-party service until you choose to follow the link. Once you leave Tangible Day, the destination site’s privacy policy applies.
Sharing, Retention, Security, and Your Rights
We share information with service providers only as reasonably needed to operate the site, provide requested services, process transactions, measure performance, prevent abuse, display advertising, or comply with law. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, including legitimate business, accounting, security, and legal needs. Retention periods vary by record and service.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Use the Contact page to submit a privacy request. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
Children and Policy Updates
Tangible Day is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
We may update this policy as the site, services, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)
The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.

The “help” feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser’s cache. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at All About Cookies.
Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.
The Website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads:

- Operating System version
- Device Type
- Language of the website

Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor’s referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.
If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices to opt-in or opt-out of this data collection, please visit National Advertising Initiative opt out page.
